A Brand's Guide to Celebrity Partnerships
What happens between the first offer email and launch day? What to watch for in budget, contracts and usage rights.
1. Pin down the goal
Awareness, sales or a new audience? If the goal is vague, choosing the right name and measuring the result both become impossible. Give the campaign one primary goal.
2. Set a realistic budget
The talent fee is only one line. Without room for production, paid media, usage rights and extra content, the campaign stalls halfway.
3. Put usage rights in the contract
Spell out where, for how long and in which countries you can use the content. Exclusivity — not working with competitors — is agreed at this stage too.
4. Measure after launch
Compare reach, engagement, web traffic and sales with the pre-campaign baseline. That report is the best brief for your next partnership.
